Scones go with everything, are super easy to make and last the week for meal prep faves! We always use gluten free ingredients but this works with either or:)
Recipe:
1 1/4 flour
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup salted butter, cubed
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vinegar
1 egg
1/4 cup chives
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1. preheat oven to 365
2. add the vinegar to the milk and set aside for 5 minutes (or use buttermilk)
3. whisk flour, baking powder & sugar together
4. cut in the butter to the flour mixture
5. whisk an egg into your milk mixture
6. add milk mixture to flour and stir until just wet
7. stir in chives & cheddar cheese
8. knead for 5 minutes on a floured surface
9. shape into a rectangular and cut diagonally to create triangle pieces
10. let sit for about 10 minutes to fluff up
11. bake for 20 minutes
